Welcome to another Tom Chat. This time we have a full week of fixtures plus a double cup draw for you.

Matchleague Premier

The Matchleague Premier is beginning to take shape with two sides still boasting perfect records. Champions Tastur Bondai Barca edged past Replacements 74–64, while St Ives Seagulls underlined their early dominance with a commanding 78–50 win at Moaty’s Maniacs. Wills Wingdings impressed in a 77–59 victory over Unbeatables, and Calzio saw off Victorious Secret 72–47. COYS FC edged Forever QPR 68–62, Fossil Park East overcame Dzeko & The Bunnymen 77–64, and JDeacon7 ran out 82–65 winners over Shadwell Town.

Division 1

Division 1 remains tightly contested with JurysOut and Commitments both maintaining perfect starts. JurysOut edged Alpha Athletic 67–60, while Commitments prevailed 63–59 away at IFK Harltonham. Missing Link impressed with an 86–61 win over Team Gotland, and Badly Good claimed a 77–52 victory at By ’Eck. Chacarita got off the mark by beating Team Georgies Boys 85–66, while Atleterna overcame Gremlins 57–49. Mafia Four Lions also sit just behind the early frontrunners after defeating Eze Does It 78–71.

Division 2

Division 2 saw both Glory Glory and Whalley Range FC extend their perfect starts. Glory Glory brushed aside Beckenbaurfly 83–46, while Whalley Range FC edged Hoofball 50–45 to also move to three wins from three. Speckled Jims impressed in a 77–55 victory over Gothatters FC, and Cornish Reds came through 58–41 against Makrillarna. Red Exiles edged Bongo Fury 52–51 in the tightest clash of the week, Henry C FC beat Laljiland FC 46–42, and Real Ale Rovers overcame Kamikazees 64–56.

Reality League

Reality League Week 3 brought a shake-up both on and off the pitch. The Kudostouch moved top with a 74–39 win over Whiteadders, while Pukki Bowl FC eased past Kudus To You 69–41. Bongo Fury RL returned to form by beating Wills Wingdings RL 61–43, and Mafia Four Lions RL edged Unbeatables RL 40–32. Forevergais picked up their first victory with a 74–52 result at Shadwell Town RL, while No Kane Do hit back strongly to thrash GAIS 86–34.

Two scores had to be adjusted after 2 illegal transfers and a wildcard were used. This is against the rules of the Reality League, where no transfers can be made outside of the official Premier League transfer window. Whiteadders used a wildcard but, as Becks made her transfers before the deadline, John and I have chosen to penalise her for the transfer penalty points she should have incurred, rather than making her change her whole team back. The other offender was me — as unbelievable as that sounds. A simple case of logging into the wrong team and rushing on a Saturday morning. I’ve reversed the transfers, taken the transfer penalty points, and all the points gained from the illegal players have been deducted.

MOTW

Manager of the Week goes to David Lloyd, who ended up joint top of the AllSwengland with his Reality League team despite incurring 8 transfer penalty points as he made his final transfers before the deadline. Well played.

Worst MOTW goes to Patrik for managing just 41 points for Makrillarna.

Introducing the SuperEtten Cup!

This season we’re introducing a brand new competition — the SuperEtten Cup. It sits below the Bror Lefin and above the Arnold Bolt. With the Arnold Bolt reserved for Masterleague 2, the SuperEtten Cup will be contested exclusively by Masterleague 1 teams.

Both the Arnold Bolt and the SuperEtten Cup kick off this Saturday. John and I met yesterday to make the draws.
