Week 20 delivered another shake-up in the Matchleague Premier, with a handful of surprise results and significant movement in the table. Dzeko & The Bunnymen extended their lead at the top to three points with a solid 63-54 win over Moaty’s Maniacs, who remain third. Tastur Bondai Barca missed the chance to keep pace, suffering a heavy 78-48 defeat at the hands of Replacements — one of the standout performances of the week that lifts Replacements to seventh. Forever QPR continued their strong form, edging Alpha Athletic 69-67 to climb to fourth. Alpha, who were 12th heading into the weekend, now sit bottom of the table in 14th. Badly Good pulled off a big result, comfortably beating COYS FC 73-58 to move up to 13th. COYS drop to fifth after a fourth straight defeat. IFK Harltonham notched up their third win in four, overcoming Unbeatables 64-57 to boost their survival hopes. They now sit 12th, just three points off mid-table. Fossil Park East edged Victorious Secret 59-58, holding their position in 11th. Victorious Secret drop to eighth, despite climbing to the top of the AllSwengland Masterleague, after back-to-back defeats. Wills Wingdings bounced back from a poor run with an impressive 68-59 victory over JDeacon7. The win sees them climb to ninth, while JDeacon7 slip to sixth after a third straight defeat.

In Div 1, Abone FC picked up a valuable win in their fight to stay clear of the relegation zone, beating second-placed St Ives Seagulls 69-53 to move up to 11th. There was a notable result for Team Gotland, who saw off third-placed Shadwell Town 61-53 to climb to 8th in a tightly packed mid-table. Missing Link also boosted their survival hopes with a 57-54 win over Gremlins, while Jurysout strengthened their grip on a top-four place by beating leaders Calzio 59-52 — a standout result in their campaign. Empire of the Son continued their recent upturn in form with a 51-39 win over Mafia Four Lions, climbing to fifth in the standings. At the foot of the table, Gothatters FC beat Real Ale Rovers 66-54 but stay bottom on goal difference. Beckenbaurfly’s 58-56 win over Commitments leaves all three sides level on 24 points, with the relegation battle finely poised.

In Division 2, Atleterna closed the gap at the top with a dominant 71-38 win over By 'Eck, drawing level on points with the leaders and boosting their promotion hopes. Chacarita also kept pace, claiming an impressive 62-51 victory over Eze Does It, meaning all three sides now sit tied at the top on 24 points.
Whalley Range FC moved up to fifth after seeing off Laljiland FC 56-50, while Team Georgies Boys edged a low-scoring contest 31-28 against OnlyGuehiInDaVillage to keep themselves in the mix.
With one game left, three teams are tied on 24 points in the race for the title and automatic promotion, while the battle for playoff places and to avoid the bottom two relegation spots remains wide open.

In Div 3, Hoofball tightened their grip on the title race with a 70–56 win over Nozy, extending their lead at the top to three points. Both Hoofball and Glory Glory have already secured automatic promotion, with Glory Glory held to a 56–56 draw by Henry C FC. Barring a final-day defeat and a big swing in points difference, Hoofball are on course to take the title. Makrillarna sealed their play-off spot in style, brushing aside Bongo Fury 71–39. They join Henry C FC, Bongo Fury, and Kamikazees in the top six, with Kamikazees clinching the final play-off place after a 39–31 win over Bowl Rock Rovers. At the bottom, Bowl Rock Rovers remain just a point behind Nozy, and the two sides face each other in the final match of the season in a straight shootout to avoid the wooden spoon.

In the Reality Matcheague, Van De Ven Diagram held onto top spot with a narrow 73–70 victory over Pukki Bowl FC, thanks in no small part to a well-timed Triple Captain chip. Shadwell Town RL remain right on their heels after a 79–66 win against GAIS, keeping the pressure on the leaders. No Kane Do picked up a much-needed result, comfortably beating Swehoops 60–35 to climb out of the bottom two. It’s another setback for Swehoops, who drop to ninth in the table. Wills Wingdings RL also continue their upward curve, seeing off Unbeatables RL 64–54 to pull level on points with them in mid-table. Meanwhile, IFHarltonham Absolut doubled their win tally for the season with a 61–58 triumph over Mafia Four Lions RL, a much-needed boost at the bottom.

Manager of the Week goes to Stuart Lawton, after Shadwell Town RL topped the weekly AllSwengland standings with an impressive 79 points. Worst MOTW goes to Robbie Dunn, with OnlyGuehiInDaVillage managing just 28 points.
The Arnold Bolt Trophy Final takes centre stage this weekend, with Hoofball and Fossil Park East ready to battle it out for glory.
Cheers 🤓
