......."In1969 I gave up women and alcohol, it was the worst 20 minutes of my life"...........
George Best
First, let me start with some apologies. First apology is that I haven't been writing anything to you managers for a few weeks now. Reason for this? Well in the last three weeks I visited not only Sweden again but also the Caribbean on family business. My very good friend and non-manager, Jim accompanied me to both places as well as my good lady, and some of you would have received the blogs that I wrote during my travels. I've been told they were very entertaining, so if you would like to copy then don't hesitate to contact me.

So what's been happening in the real world apart from that? Well, as all of you all, no doubt know, poor old Hatters Will be playing in league one next season. Having failed to get anything from their last match at the hawthorns. Have they done so they would have survived how could only manage a draw at Portsmouth but it wasn't to be. The questions now are being asked. How could a team that played so well in the Premier League two seasons ago now find themselves in league one? As a season ticket holder I've been asking that question all season. I think when they got manager Edwards out the door, they should have appointed a manager who is used to firefighting, rescuing teams from the brink of disaster, someone like Neal Warnock. Instead, they went for someone from Liam/1, who was having a good season with his team Wycombe that had no pedigree whatsoever. Maybe that was the cheaper option. But now they paid the price, and, despite a good running where they went on an unbeaten sequence, a pathetic display at West Bromwich saw them lose 3-5 and suffer a second relegation in a row.

Not much better either for St Albans City. They needed at least a point from their last game as well, but unfortunately it was at Truro city, who eventually won the league in a nailbiting finish from five other clubs. The playoffs are now on and it looks as if Borehamwood may well be making a return to the national league as they seem to be in form and have already disposed of Torquay. Saints lost that game against Truro 2-5 and will now play in the Isthmian league next season. At least there will be a game to go and see at Whitehawk in Brighton! I can already see Richard and I supping a beer and cheering for either of those two sides..

As you also know, just down the road from me is another grassroots football club called Barton Rovers. They've got a really good ground with a great bar and this season, for once they were challenging for playoffs. They achieved this and despite this good season couldn't manage to win their semifinal. So the season is over for them. The two top clubs in that league are very good, indeed one being Berkhamsted and the other being Real Bedford, who are doing a Wrexham, the goal for their owners is football league in five years time, and this has been the third promotion in a row. They are on track.
SWENGLAND CHAT
Could it be that Tastur Bondi Barça have too much of a leave now to be reeled back in? I don't think so. If I know Jamie Humphries he won't be giving up until the fat lady has finished her singing. After all, the lead is only 22 points and all Jamie has to do is the strike lucky with players in his team that are not in Paul Williams team. If they match each other up, then he will be relying on things like a different captain which probably won't be enough for the points needed. Personally, I would like to see my very good friend. Dave Lloyd take the title again, but I think he's too far behind. So we are left with either Tom Iddon or Jamie, stopping the Mafia from another Allswengland triumph. Plenty of managers, with the knowledge of how to win are in that top five, from which the eventual champion will come.
For me, personally, the end of the season as something hingeing upon it as Bongo Fury, are in the match league, two play-off final and Harltonham are attempting to escape relegation from Matchleague Premier. Alpha athletic are already relegated with badly good and Victoria's Secret also in the frame with replacement and fossil Park East. The final two rounds of fixtures have thrown up some interesting games with Victoria's Secret, up against Harltonham and Badly Good, giving them a good chance of escaping, with the other side is in danger playing teams outside of the relegation dog fight. Fossil park East could easily be drawn in with two games against top teams Tastur Bondi, Barça and Forever QPR. Tastur are top and only three points ahead of Dzeko and his Bunnymen.
MATCHLEAGUE CHAMPIONS: from left, Laurence, Arvid and Tom
Congratulations to Calzio, Champions of Matchleague 1, and there is a real scrap behind them to secure the last two promotion places. Eze Does it are champions of match league two and Chacarita are also up. Congratulations also to the returning Laurence Barnett, and his HOOFBALLERS who have been steered to the promotion spot and championship, in front of Glory Glory.
