DID YOU MISS ME? I'M BACK.
Good evening Swenglanders. last week I got a message from Tom asking when I would be contributing to the excellent Swengland website. A good question that, because since I retired I have not had the time to sit and do so. mainly for these reasons:
Organising the weekly quiz at my local pub The Old Sun
Running open mic night at The Old Sun
Preparing for a gig in a band I didn't know I was a member of and then getting sacked! (Too jazzy they said...a compliment in my book...but do they know jazz?
Putting together a brand new band with four mates called The Gin Incident. Exciting lineup, five of us, including a sax player who used to play in A Roxy Music tribute band, and he is GOOD. What he is doing with us I have no idea! Two gigs lined up so far, December 20th at Thje Chequers in Streatley Luton and 29th. March at Barton Rovers Football Club. (wonderful)
Watching The Hatters, now in League 1, Premier League two seasons ago!!
Fighting for compo following my bike accident last year.
Visiting Göte last September and another trip in four weeks Swenglanders! More about that later.
Anyway, lets rewind to last June when SWENGLAND had its 30 year celebration, right here in our garden. We had live music, good food, booze and guests from Sweden. Here are some photos from the day.
And on the Sunday, live music from this man.........

John Verity, ex Argent played at The Carpenters Arms, just up the road from Swengland HQ, together with a BBQ and plenty of good beer. This was enjoyed by all.
