Bror Lefin Final

It was drama all the way in the Bror Lefin Cup Final as Real Ale Rovers, managed by Viv Stephenson, edged past my own team, Victorious Secret, in an agonisingly close 43–42 victory.

Real Ale Rovers went into the final as clear underdogs. They play a whole division below Victorious Secret, who have been flying high this season, sitting in third place overall in the AllSwengland rankings.

Despite that, Viv took a huge gamble in the final, choosing not to use his available chips—the Free Hit, Wildcard, and Triple Captain—and, incredibly, left Mo Salah, this season's top points-scorer, on the bench! Yet somehow, even with those bold decisions, he managed to steer Real Ale Rovers to a remarkable win.

Victorious Secret had come through tough knockout rounds, squeezing past ForeverQPR in the quarter-finals and narrowly beating GloryGlory in a nail-biting semi-final. Real Ale Rovers had their own tight moments—especially a one-point victory over No Kane Do in the quarter-finals, before overcoming Unbeatables RL in the semis.

Ultimately, it was disappointment for my side, Victorious Secret, as we fell short at the final hurdle. But full credit goes to Viv and Real Ale Rovers, whose daring strategy paid off spectacularly in a cup final he'll surely remember for a long time.

Viv picks up Manager of the Week for his cup heroics. Worst MOTW goes to Lars for Missing Link's low score of 25.

Cheers 🤓
