Matchleague Premier
Dzeko & The Bunnymen are now in pole position going into the final round of the Matchleague Premier, having taken full advantage of Tastur Bondai Barca’s slip-up. Dzeko claimed a vital 54–45 win over COYS FC, leapfrogging Tastur at the top on goal difference after the leaders were beaten 60–58 by a determined Fossil Park East side.
That rare defeat for Tastur leaves the title race on a knife edge with both clubs level on 55 points. However, with a healthy advantage on points difference, Dzeko know a final-day win should be enough to secure the title—even if Tastur also take three points.
Unbeatables continued their strong run, edging Forever QPR 53–50 to move up into fourth place. They're just one point off third and will be pushing for a top-three finish next week.
It was a disappointing round for JDeacon7, who dropped to fifth after a 52–38 loss to Replacements, who have now won two on the bounce to make themselves safe from relegation.
Moaty’s Maniacs missed a huge chance to push into the top four, going down 64–48 to already-relegated Alpha Athletic, who produced one of their best performances of the season.
At the foot of the table, Badly Good earned a hollow victory—edging past Wills Wingdings 50–47—to climb to 12th. Mathematically, they can still avoid relegation, but with Victorious Secret holding a vastly superior points difference, survival is realistically out of reach. In truth, it looks like a case of too little, too late.
Meanwhile, Victorious Secret saw off fellow strugglers IFK Harltonham 50–36, boosting their goal difference further and confirming IFK’s relegation in the process.
Matchleague Division 1
Calzio, already confirmed Division 1 champions, fell to a 63–56 defeat against in-form Gremlins, who’ve now won five on the bounce.
Empire of the Son solidified second place with a dominant 62–30 win over Beckenbaurfly, while Mafia Four Lions kept pace by powering past Team Gotland 75–58.
Shadwell Town also strengthened their push for promotion with a gritty 49–34 win away at Jurysout, leapfrogging Gremlins and staying just one point off second.
However, it’s the promotion battle that has taken a twist. While the top three usually go up, several teams are now ineligible. The managers of Empire of the Son, Mafia Four Lions, and Gremlins all have other teams already playing in the top flight. That means none of those three can be promoted—regardless of where they finish—leaving the door wide open for Shadwell Town, St Ives Seagulls, and Missing Link to fight it out for the final promotion spots. However, Missing Link, despite a strong 45–35 win at Real Ale Rovers, face an uphill battle due to inferior points difference.
Commitments stayed in the mix with a low-scoring 34–29 win at St Ives, but the Seagulls remain in a good position to take advantage of the disqualification drama ahead of them.
At the bottom, Real Ale Rovers were officially relegated after their loss to Missing Link—a result that seemed to confirm their focus was firmly on next week’s Bror Lefin Cup Final rather than survival.
Meanwhile, Gothatters FC produced a rare moment of cheer with a 54–52 win over Abone FC, but it’s too little, too late—they had already been relegated last week.
Reality Matchleague
Shadwell Town RL were crowned Reality League champions despite a 52–48 home loss to Swehoops, thanks to their dominant form earlier in the season. With one game to go, they are now out of reach at the top.
Van De Ven Diagram missed the chance to stay in the race, falling 39–30 to a resurgent Unbeatables RL, who have now won three on the bounce.
Pukki Bowl FC stayed in third with a narrow 44–42 win over Wills Wingdings RL, while Mafia Four Lions RL hold on to fourth notwithstanding a 66–50 defeat at the hands of GAIS, who are ending their season strongly.
At the bottom, No Kane Do hammered IFHarltonham Absolut 60–21—a result that confirmed IFH as this season’s wooden spoon recipients. It’s been a difficult campaign, and they’ll look to bounce back next year.
With one round left, final placings and mid-table bragging rights are all that remain to be settled
Manager of the Week
Manager of the Week goes to Lorna, whose Laljiland FC hit an impressive 77 points to top the AllSwengland leaderboard.
At the other end, it’s a second consecutive Worst MOTW for Patrik—his Atleterna side followed up last week’s disaster with another, only slightly less dismal, 28-point showing.
