Matchleague Premier
It's now officially a two-horse race for the Matchleague Premier title. Tastur Bondai Barca and Dzeko & The Bunnymen both picked up crucial wins to keep their campaigns on track, pulling further clear of the pack. Barca edged out COYS FC 77–73 in a tense away fixture, while Dzeko came through a high-scoring thriller 97–92 against Forever QPR.
Wills Wingdings made it four wins on the bounce with an 85–66 result against Victorious Secret, climbing to fourth. Unbeatables also continued their strong run of form, seeing off Replacements 82–64 to move level on points with both Wills and Forever QPR.
Badly Good claimed their second straight win, defeating JDeacon7 83–69 to edge further away from the relegation zone, while IFK Harltonham secured an important away win at Moaty’s Maniacs, coming out on top 54–43.
Fossil Park East bounced back from a poor recent run with a 59–52 win over Alpha Athletic, leaving the bottom side stuck on 21 points.
With just four rounds to go, the title fight is down to two—and the battle to avoid the drop is far from over.
Matchleague Division 1
In Div 1, Calzio all but sealed the title with a 70–64 victory over Shadwell Town, opening up an eight-point lead with just nine left to play for. It’s not quite over mathematically, but they’re firmly in control at the summit.
St Ives Seagulls missed the chance to keep the pressure on, slipping to a 75–56 defeat at home to a resurgent Gremlins side. Shadwell stay third despite their loss, while Empire of the Son also faltered—going down 91–74 to an improving Abone FC.
Beckenbaurfly continued their recovery with an 81–60 win away at Real Ale Rovers, leapfrogging their hosts in the process. Jurysout kept themselves in the mix with a solid 54–44 win over Gothatters FC, and Missing Link picked up another three points, edging past Team Gotland 77–66.
In the other match, Mafia Four Lions kept their momentum going, beating Commitments 58–50 to climb into joint fourth and keep their top-half hopes alive.
With three rounds remaining, Calzio have one hand on the trophy—but plenty is still up for grabs elsewhere..
Reality Matchleague
Shadwell Town RL took another big step towards the title with a solid 67–47 win over Pukki Bowl FC. That’s seven wins in a row for the leaders, who now sit eight points clear with just three matches to play—it’s their league to lose.
Chasers Van De Ven Diagram fell further behind, slipping to a surprise 51–34 defeat at home to Swehoops, who put in one of their best performances of the campaign to boost their chances of avoiding the wooden spoon.
Elsewhere, Wills Wingdings RL were comfortable 68–38 winners over No Kane Do, leapfrogging them in the table and moving into the top five, while Unbeatables RL edged a competitive clash against Mafia Four Lions RL 67–61 to climb to sixth.
At the bottom, GAIS got back to winning ways, overcoming IFHarltonham Absolut 75–60 in an entertaining fixture. GAIS now sit level on points with both Unbeatables and No Kane Do, tightening things up in mid-table.
With just three rounds left, the top spot looks increasingly settled—but the battles for position across the rest of the table remain very much alive.
Manager of the Week
Manager of the Week goes to Jamie Humphries for the second time this season, after his Dzeko & The Bunnymen side topped AllSwengland with a superb 97 points. At the other end, it’s his dad Richard who takes Worst MOTW, with Kamikazees only managing 34.
